The Real Detroit: Part II

Apologies for the double post in about fifteen minutes!  Absolutely loved this Super Bowl ad, though, and as I seem to have become a book blogger on a mission- just thought I'd share it with you all :-)

  3. Love this commercial. And I don't ordinarily *love* commercials. It made me proud to be from Detroit. I don't live there anymore, but I've been trying to tell the naysayers that it's in my blood. Always will be!
    Thanks for posting.

  5. It was nice getting to see all the Detroit landmarks again, both during the Super bowl and here. The Fox theater, the People Mover, the Joe Louis fist, etc.

  7. I saw this commercial, and really liked it (an odd tone for the middle of the superbowl, though!), and felt like it was vvery powerful. I've never been to Detroit, but the sort of popular consignment of the place to 'junk town you'd rather not visit' always makes me sad - I have a similar fascination with Cleveland, which has that same feeling to me of a place tha twants so very much to live in spite of everyone consigning it to the junk pile of history.
