Until this post! I always get so intrigued with wondering how I would react to ambiguities. Will consider this. She just doesn't tell you what's up in any of her books. But I inexplicably love her anyway, and White Is for Witching is my favorite. I think different things different times I read the book. Her writing is just so gorgeous and weird. I love how deeply, profoundly weird her work is, even on days when I do not feel I have fully understood it. (Like, Mr. Fox? I don't even know with that book.)Jenny @ Reading the Endhttp://readingtheend.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7343567357202223317.post-20742351822628025232015-02-05T16:23:48.207-06:002015-02-05T16:23:48.207-06:00I have not read Oyeyemi yet. This really makes me want to read her, and yet makes me nervous as heavens knows "getting it" is probably not in my future with this author. :)Trishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13917705393662132891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7343567357202223317.post-25944465994655779572015-02-05T15:18:59.096-06:002015-02-05T15:18:59.096-06:00I know... I think it might have helped if I had read the fairy tale it was built on before reading the book, but even then I think there would still have been a lot that went over my head.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
